Description

Trading with Ichimoku is a practical handbook explaining the different elements of the Ichimoku system of chart reading, from the description of each of its five lines to their interpretation within a wider process of trading analysis.

Author’s Note:

This book is above all a practical handbook explaining the different elements of the Ichimoku system of chart reading, from the description of each line to their interpretation in a global process of decision-making. You will rapidly conclude that even though there are only five lines to look at on Ichimoku charts, the information given is very rich and above all complete, more than enough to be able to get both a detailed and global view of the activity of the market and what the price action tells us.

Understanding only the basic reading of this system is enough to be able to trade and be successful. As a coach for more than five years, I have had the opportunity to meet more than 500 clients, private and professional, eager to learn how to trade with Ichimoku. It’s clear to me that the main difficulty which prevents one being successful has little to do with the technical aspect of trading. It’s all in the mind. It refers to one’s management of emotions, which is harder to master than money management! And, alas, this psychological aspect of trading represents 80% of the success of a trade.

After reading this book, I hope you will be convinced of the abundance of information you can obtain from these simple five lines and how the Ichimoku method can drastically improve your trading whether you are a beginner or an accomplished trader with a track record below your expectation. I do not pretend that I have found the Holy Grail but I can assure you that Ichimoku does improve your trading, from the very short-term to long-term time frames.

The book and its author strive to present this great indicator in great detail and to give all the relevant explanations with very clear examples of the signals offered by Ichimoku. Buy it without hesitation.

    A very good read
Can’t wait to test the concepts presented

I’ve read numerous books on technical analysis and a couple of them were specifically about ichimoku. I understood everything in the book but I wouldn’t recommend it if you are just starting out. I found the narrative particularly convoluted with no simply summarised conclusions. Don’t get me wrong there are nuggets of info in the book but I found it a bit of a slog to get through it due to the excessive use of tiny charts and lack of personality, I like to be inspired and entertained when reading but this left me a bit cold. I read another book called ‘easy ichimoku’ just before this one and I found it far more enjoyable and the information far easier to understand. (I have no affiliation with the other book by the way). In summary it’s worth having in your collection but learn the basics with another book first.

Really quite a good exposition of Ichimoku from a practical, trader’s viewpoint. Ichimoku ties past and present price action in with future indications, and tends to give one a unique perspective not readily available in other charting methods. I have all of this charting method’s books which have been published in English, and this is, by far, the best of the lot.

There are almost as many books on trading as there are systems for trading. And Ichimoku is no different.

Having spent many hours studying a variety of methods and having spent (too much) money on courses and “ultimate” solutions, I’d have to say that the money that I spent on this well written and informative book trumps most of the rest.

While no book can be said to be an “end all” to other resources, had I read this book sooner, I think that I would have, and could have, saved myself a lot of time, money and trading-losses.

This is my honest review about this book:
would I buy it again ? No, and it felt as a ripoff due to the overcharged price!!! and lack of something useful.

I will start with the good:
    1. There are many Graphs in the book
    2. The author shows multi time frame analysis using the ichimoku system – this is the reason I bought the item in the first place. Got extremely disappointed. why? (in the bad)
    3. I loved her candlestick colors so i use it now

    THE BAD:
    1. first of all if you have no idea what is the ichimoku system – This book is not for you , even if it was free!!! The author gives little to none explanation about the ichimoku system, not one that you could understand how price should react and what to expect in certain areas.
    2. The multi timeframe analysis is not organised at all. example: the author says: in the weekly we bullish, in the daily we bearish and in the 4H we bullish. and then she looks at a specific zone in the 4H and then says if we go about this level we would look at potential long, and if we look at this level we potential short. so all the “multi TF” is bullshit. I would expect the multi TF to be a sort of filter, but in the end couldn’t find this book useful in that aspect.
    3. You Wont find in the book, a specific set of rules to enter the trade. The author always uses different lines of the ichimoku indicator very hard to implement and understand why she entered specifically there and not elsewhere.
    4. In the whole book, you will find no more of 3 “entry examples”, most of the book she narrate how price moves in the graphs, “analyze the chart” , and then NOT TAKING THE TRADE!!! , back to point 3 – not telling you enter here, exit here, stoploss here.
    5. The most annoying things that she always change direction of her analysis. Not having a clear idea in mind. Look at page 120 she enter short, and then she somewhat not in the trade… (price reversed) not talking about it and moving to the next example.

The review is in comparison to other books and one which i learned a lot of ichimoku:Trading with ichimoku clouds by manesh patel
He clearly explains the In and out of the ichimoku indicator. and showing some back test results and possible trading rules.

So glad I found this book. Not sure why some left bad reviews. The translation might of had an occasional grammar error in translation but who cares. The point of the book is Ichimoku not English class. It was a great book with lots of information. My favorite book so far

  8. Carmelo George (verified owner)

A very comprehensive book that teaches layman how to use Ichimoku in trading. Very straightforward and clear!

  9. Jaxen Colon (verified owner)

The author presents the information concisely and includes numerous color examples alongside the text (mostly of currency pairs). Book was helpful in showing how to develop a map of a particular instrument.

  10. Braxton Arias (verified owner)

I have spent months researching Ichimoku and even took a class. There is so much incorrect information floating around on this indicator. I have lost a lot of capital using what I thought was the correct way to use the indicator. I read this book in one day and realized I was doing so much wrong. I applied the principles the next morning and made a 6K profit in 20mins even before the market opened. This book has made a big difference in my strategy. I wish I would have found it sooner. It is in no way the holy grail, but it is extremely useful.

  11. Claire Tran (verified owner)

The book was fairly easy to understand (with basic knowledge of markets) the book is set up very well, charts and examples are AMAZING! I have used these techniques in a live market with great results.

  12. Ayla Carpenter (verified owner)

Excellently written for teaching a perspective on Ichimoku charts that is like pleasantly learning something in 4th grade. Highly recommend this for getting a good grounded understanding of this type of charting.

  13. Amira Wilkerson (verified owner)

Loved every part of this book. Many examples to develop Ichimoku analysis. Worth reading again or buying to gift to others.

  14. Aleah Hoover (verified owner)

    The Best Indicator!!

  15. Charlie Walter (verified owner)

This book does a great job describing Trading using the Ichimoku Cloud indicator. There is a section on analyzing Japanese Candlesticks within the Ichimoku indicator that really opened my eyes to what’s possible using this indicator. Anyone that is interested in learning about this indicator should benefit from this book.

  16. Francisco Parks (verified owner)

This is not for beginners. Unfortunately the translation is not good, but a reader can understand her methods. I particularly enjoyed the multi timeframe analysis. I believe it added to my technical analysis skills.

  17. Remy Patterson (verified owner)

I’ve read a few books on Ichimoku, which by no means makes me an expert, but this is the best one I’ve read. It is not easy to follow, so plan on reading it a few times and studying it even more, but it will be worth it. As other reviewers have said, there is a little bit lost in translation, and the charts could have been done much better. The fonts are tiny and they need to be in color. But her explanations of trades, and how to explore them in multiple time frames is very good. I wish she spoke English well so I could follow her on line.
