Description

Single Stock Futures: A Trader’s Guide represent the most exciting new product launch within the equity derivatives arena since the derivatives bandwagon began exploding in the post-BrettonWoods era of financial deregulation. Their development has been hampered by regulatory issues in the USA, but the launch of NASDAQ LIFFE, and OneChicago in November 2002 brought SSFs to the world’s largest capital market for the first time.

Introduction:

The dynamics of futures trading are similar, but subtly different to those of the equity exchanges. In this book, we aim to provide insights into the trading of these new products that will assist both the retail and the professional trader in understanding the risks and opportunities behind SSFs. Overall, the trading universe has been significantly enhanced by the arrival of SSFs and we hope that from this book you will understand just how you can benefit from this revolution.

Single Stock Futures is an entirely joint collaboration by Charles Sidey and Patrick L. Young. We have been colleagues and friends for some 15 years, first at Tullett and Tokyo Futures in the late 1980s and early 1990s and then through various other ventures, including the online publishing company ‘‘erivatives.com’’ where we both serve as directors. We welcome any feedback on this book, and we hope you will enjoy and profit from reading it.

This Book have been portrayed…as a new stage in the evolution of financial derivatives – which is certainly the case. But they could be more than that: they could radically alter the dynamics of equity investing…The possibilities are huge, but as yet only dimly perceived.

Good information, it has some trading strategies and techniques that I would not have thought of. I would love to see an updated edition!
