The term appears to have been used for the first time during Ferdinand VII´s second reign in Spain, from 1813 to 1833. His autocratic regimen was directed by a camarilla of his favorites. The word favorite referred to persons of both sexes who had various degrees of intimacy and influence with a monarch or his spouse.
The Camarilla Equation is based on technical analysis which aims to forecast future prices by assessing the balance of power between the forces of supply and demand. Technical analysis has as its basic tenets, that:

I read something about the Camarilla pivots on line. I bought this book to learn the full information. It told me- what I read on-line for free- plus a few pages of trading for dummies. The Camarilla system could be written on about a sheet of A4. Do not buy. Please be more careful with your hard earned cash than I was.

The system presented in this book is no doubt simple and time tested but, one should do their own testing with historical data for the particular market they plan to trade. I give the book 4 of 5 stars due to that the website referenced to test the method is no longer active. This is an easy read and does not delve into background and other fluff. The author gets right to the point. I would recommend the reader to have to some extent a basic knowledge of the markets and how they work beofre reading this book.
