He received national attention when he won the U.S. Investing Championship in 1984. Schwartz is the author of Pit Bull: Lessons from Wall Street’s Champion Day Trader.

He is considered to be one of the most successful traders of all time, having managed to turn a $100,000 portfolio into $2 million in just two years.
Marty Schwartz started his career as a financial advisor in the early 1980s. He then transitioned to trading and eventually established his own hedge fund, Martec, in the 1990s. He was successful in running the fund and was able to generate returns of more than 20% for his clients for 12 straight years. He even managed to turn a $100,000 portfolio into $2 million in just two years.
