How to Make a Living Trading Foreign Exchange explains all the basics that a novice needs to know to get going in Forex Market. At the same time, experienced traders will find the systems and methods, particularly my enhancements of classic methods, to be of significant value. Every trader will find the sections on the psychology of trading and risk management will sharply enhance their profitability.
Introduction:
Chapter 1 outlines the basic information you need to get started in trading forex. Perhaps you’ve traded stocks or mutual funds or even futures. Chapter 2 is where we really start the methods of making money in the forex market. This chapter introduces trend analysis. This technique is similar to what have been called 123s. Chapter 3 is all about channel breakouts. This classic technique has been around since the 1960s. It’s been around that long because it is that profitable. Chapter 4 is about the Conqueror system. The Conqueror is a technique that has a very hard time entering the market. It wants all the conditions to be perfect before entering a trade but jumps out of the position at the slightest intimation of weakness in the trade.
Chapter 5 introduces how to use stochastics profitably. It seems like everybody uses stochastics; they are perhaps the most popular indicator in chart services. Yet everyone is using them wrong. Chapter 6 introduces the multiunit tactic. This technique uses multiple contract positions to give you more flexibility in your exits. This technique has a lot of positive psychological benefits while also giving a kick to your profits. Chapter 7 drills down on this important subject and gives you clear instructions on how to control the risk in your account to ensure that you will be a profitable trader. Chapter 8, shows a new technique called the Slingshot as well as the mini-Slingshot.
Chapter 9 looks at the biggest block against making money in the markets: you. It is your psychology. You are the biggest problem. Intellectual skills are trivial. Chapter 10 shows how they all fit together into a coordinated program for profits. Each technique has a different purpose from the other techniques.

It is very useful. All techniques are profitable and easy to apply into trading. I recommend that all traders should read through this book.
Ashton Dudley (verified owner) –
This book is a goldmine, even if there are typos, the information, the way of thinking and trading you learn from it is very valuable. I have however not tested the methods yet.
Dominik Prince (verified owner) –
This book is clear, easy to follow, but with all the sophistication you would expect in the subject. Courtney makes it seem easy to trade.

It does have trading rules laid out precisely. He manages risk pretty well. One way he manages risk is to not day trade. I would want to take his course, in Forex, though, before I risked money on a system. Forex is high voltage. A book just isn’t enough. This is a decent book.

Book is full of valuable common sense information that is usable.
I would recommend to anyone who is looking to make extra income by trading currency

I have read this book and am very disappointed. The Book tiles says ” A guranteed Income for LIfe”. I trade forx and have read several books on this topic. I know there is no such thing like guarantee in investing. You can try your best and make the odds in your favor but no gurantees.
Author writes about several methods to trade FOREX. They work sometimes and they do not work other times, and when they do not work, they lose big money. It may wipe your entire account.

Of all the pundits and gurus available, this author has the best most practical approach to trading. The techniques are viable and the Channel Breakout strategy is fundamental to trading successfully. Courtney has taken Turtle Trading to a new refined level where the risks are manageable and has techniques to improve the performance of the basic system. This volume is devoted to Forex, though the techniques are applicable to stocks and futures as well as Forex, so when I studied his other works I was familiar with the approach. The techniques Courtney outlines are easy enough to understand with some study. Objective strategies are hard to come by, and this is the focus of his tome. Subjectivity is discouraged, and actual real-world “what do I actually see” is encouraged. Follow the rules as laid out and the results are predictable. He covers the four parts of trading: the Psychology of Trading, or the mindset one must know to survive in the trading environment; Risk Management, an important part of trading so one does not lose one’s shirt, still is profitable, and can manage the inevitable losses associated with trading; Fundamental basics for Forex; and mostly the Technical Analysis employed to successfully trade the Channel Breakout and the other trend-following techniques he has in the book, like Coflex, The Bishop, ADX, The Conqueror, and more. Plus, Courtney recommends trading only 15 minutes a day! The idea is that the big money is made on the big moves, and so focus on catching the big moves. Buy it, read it, and see that your own approach to trading is improved!

This book is amazing and I highly recommend it for anyone who is serious about increasing their wealth through forex trading. Just remember to execute flawlessly. You must do everything (exactly as Courtney instructs) that this book says. If you lose money by not following the system precisely, then you only have yourself to blame.

I didn’t finish reading the book so it’s hard to judge 100 percent but I Really disliked the author’s style of writing. He states very early on that the explanations are for those with no familiarity to Forex and trading. Yet immediately he begins using forex jargon to which is often does not explain in detail or waits for many pages to do so. This leaves you with a feeling of wonder.
He may be a great trader but he certainly doesn’t do a good job teaching it in this book.

This book are excellence summarized the many important subjects of Technical Trading . The topic the author missed was Elliott Wave . The level of the book is expert .

This is probably the 20th book I have bought on Forex. This is, by far, the best. Highly recommend for anyone seeking to make money on Forex. Turned my consistent losses into consistent profits.
