Since then he has even written about Deep Space Commodities in 2018 and the opportunities and challenges that await companies in the new resource race in Space. Tom most recently co-founded the Trade Flow Funds in Singapore (2016). After 2 years of FinTech development & planning the Digital Trade Finance Fund went live in 2018, operating the new approach to physical commodity trade & Inventory finance. He is the business & system architect for the solution and holds the position of CEO and CIO. The solution which meets both industry needs and investor appetite combines a unique business model with proven risk management approaches, a fund platform, and Fintech for scalability. His co-founders complete the cross-discipline team necessary to develop and operate the trade finance solution & fund, coming from a legal, maritime and I.T. background.
His 30 yrs+ commercial exposure was gained through a broad range of senior executive roles in trading, investment management, commodity finance (Trade and Project) & advisory. He is called upon by governments & multinationals for advice In market developments. In 2014 he was called upon to serve as Senior Energy Advisor to the United States Department of Defense (TFBSO) and he currently sits on the Financing Advisory Resources panel for Enterprise Singapore. He co-founded the Technical Analysts Society of Singapore in 1999 & has been a Member of the Energy Institute (UK) since 1991. Since 2000 Tom has built up a track record of combining technology with best practice in order to create innovative industry services & solutions. He is also a successful published author, having documented and shared his deep industry expertise through a series of 9 books and publications with Wiley Finance, Palgrave Macmillan and Springer. Some of these textbooks have become required material for professional exams & university.
